Assets & Inventory

One record per asset on site.

Assets & Inventory is the part of MLNetworks that keeps one record for every asset on a tower site: what it is, where it is mounted and what condition it is in, checked against site audits.

MLNetworks keeps the asset register, each asset’s condition and its maintenance history together, so a decision starts from what is actually on the site.

From the register to a replace decision

Every asset on the site, in one register

Tower and power equipment are listed by site with type, key specification, lifecycle state, criticality and a confidence rating for the record.

    Condition recorded at the asset

Inspections and repairs write their findings back to the asset. Condition, last maintenance and open work orders sit on the same record.

The register against the as-built baseline

The register is compared with the accepted baseline. Differences are graded and listed by category, so a person can start with the ones that matter.

    What changed

One RRU is in the baseline and no longer in the register. Check whether it was removed.

    Each record shows its confidence

Each asset shows a confidence rating in words. An asset with nothing behind it reads Not scored, never a bad number.

Condition and life for the replace-or-keep call

Recorded condition and remaining life go to planning as the basis for a decision. The case is prepared for a person to review.

Built so a record can be questioned

  • Only what is recorded

Remaining life comes from install dates and assessments in the register. Where there is none, the page says NA.

  • Differences stay listed

When the register and the baseline disagree, the difference is listed by category, not averaged away.

  • A person makes the change

A lifecycle change needs a reason and stays in the history with its author and time.

FAQ

Questions from asset teams

What does an asset record hold?

Code, type, location, key specification, lifecycle state, criticality and condition, with last and next maintenance, open work orders and the history of its state changes.

How does condition get onto the record?

From inspections and from completed repairs. The result is recorded against the site or the asset, and every asset screen uses the same condition.

Can it find equipment that is on site but not in the register?

It compares the register with an accepted baseline and lists the differences by category. Whether live telemetry or other sources can add to that depends on the deployment.

Does it decide when to replace an asset?

No. It shows condition and remaining life from what is recorded and prepares the case. A person reviews it and decides.

Does it replace our asset register or ERP?

No. It reads from the systems you already run. Accounting ownership of assets stays with your ERP.
