Network Performance & Capacity
Know the headroom before the request.
Network Performance & Capacity is the part of MLNetworks that shows how much load, space and power each tower carries and how much headroom is left before the next tenant or upgrade.
MLNetworks shows utilization, headroom and expected load per site, so you know which resource is short before a tenant request runs into it.

The short resource, named
Capacity is read against what is installed. Utilization and headroom are shown for the site, and the sectors carrying the load are listed separately.

Options, handed to planning
When a request does not fit, the record states the constraint, the measurements behind it and the options. A person decides what goes to planning.

Capacity is calculated from the site as built. The method, its version and the profile used sit beside the result.

Requests held against capacity
Reservations are counted by resource: area, ground and power. Holds about to expire are flagged.
From the constraint to the business case
The constraint and the measurements behind it stay attached to each option. Planning compares the options on the same record, and a person approves what moves forward.

A starting point a planner can rely on
Facts apart from assumptions
Measured values and inferred ones are marked separately, so the planning case starts from what was actually measured.
What the forecast is
The load figure is a baseline built from recent history. The screen says what it does not anticipate.
People keep the decision
The product prepares the options. A person decides what goes to planning.
FAQ
Common questions
What does the product measure?
Today it reads structure capacity, utilization and headroom per site and sector, and it forecasts site load for the next 24 hours. What else is available depends on the deployment.
Does it show radio or traffic performance?
No. The product has no radio or traffic performance screens today. Which performance sources are connected is defined for each deployment, with your team.
How is the load forecast built?
It is a baseline: the site usual level over the last 7 days, shaped like a normal day. The screen states that it does not anticipate a new tenant or a lasting change in load.
Does it decide what to build?
No. It names the constraint, attaches the measurements and lists options. A person decides what goes to planning.
Which data sources can it connect to?
That is defined for each deployment. We validate each source with your team before we name it as supported.
Network Performance & Capacity
Where is capacity about to become the constraint?
Bring a real case. An MLNetworks expert will walk through it with you.
